1959 : Freddie and his school mates founded a band The Hectics in India. [53 years]
1968 : The Opposition live at Royal Oak, Wigston, UK. [44 years]
1969 : Freddie, Brian, Roger and Tim Staffell went to see Led Zeppelin at Fishmongers Hall, London, UK. [43 years]
1970 : Freddie went for an audition to join a group Sour Milk Sea on the High Street in Leatherhead, Surrey. Roger and John Harris went along with him and both acted as his 'personal roadies'. Freddie wanted to make a grand entrance and he had Roger opening all the doors for him and John carried a box which contained his personal microphone on its stand, which he tested for Freddie before he did his audition. The group almost immediately offered him the job as their lead singer. [42 years]
1975 : Freddie went to see Led Zeppelin at Municipal Auditorium, New Orleans. There he met Robert Plant who told him he liked Killer Queen. [37 years]
1976 : Queen live on A Night At The Opera Tour at Auditorium, Milwaukee, USA. [36 years]

1979 : Queen live performing last show of European part of Live Killers tour at Pavillon De Paris, Paris, France. During the show Freddie rang a bicycle bell after performing Bicycle Race. The show was filmed for a planned video release, but it never happened. [33 years]
1981 : Queen live performing 2nd show at Velez Sarfield, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The show was broadcasted live in Argentina and Brazil to 35 million people. [31 years]

1977 : Queen live performing 1st show of two on A Day At The Races Tour at Inglewood Forum, Los Angeles, USA. Groucho Marx invited them all for tea. The band presented him with a tour jacket and gave him a special gold disc of for providing the inspiration and genius behind the films they all enjoyed, the titles of two of which they had used for Night At The Opera and Day At The Races. 2003 : Brian and Roger visited Robben Island, 12 kilometres from Cape Town, The Republic Of South Africa. Maximum-security prison where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years of his prison term attended with Dave Stewart and Ahmed Kathrada who was himself imprisoned during Mandela's time and is now Council Chairman of the Robben Island Museum. They saw the cell where Mandela was first incarcerated 30 years ago. Their next programme was a four-day session at Milestone Studios to record tracks in collaboration with a number of South African's premier musicians. [9 years]

1974 : Queen released 2nd album Queen II in the UK. Apparently in connection with black and white stylization of their live performances and also with songs like White Queen and March Of The Black Queen the album sides were black and white instead of A and B markings. Cover of the album was made by Mick Rock, who 30 years later released a Killer Queen book with a big collection of Queen photos from 70s. Motive of the cover photo inspired band while filming video for Bohemian Rhapsody and One Vision in 1985. [38 years]

1984 : Queen began work on the video of I Want To Break Free at London Docklands Limehouse studios with hundreds of fan club fans dressed as miners to help with the filming. Video was directed by David Mallet became famous not because of the use of scenes from popular UK soap opera Coronation Street. However the video was not allowed to be broadcasted in USA and that probably was the beggining of the end of Queen's career in USA. [28 years]
1989 : Queen filmed video for I Want It All from forthcoming album The Miracle. It took 12 hours to David Mallet, while he used very strong lights usually used at stadiums. Freddie was evidently slim, acting unshaved in shirt. Roger had jacket with Manipulator sign according to the single of his The Cross. [23 years]

Freddie was originally supposed to wear six inch stiletto heeled shoes, and he appeared at the door of his dressing room, which was up a flight of metal stairs, wearing them. He tottered about three steps, screamed with laughter, said something along the lines of "oh f*** it, I can't walk in these things let alone get down those stairs" and went back into his dressing room to get some shoes with lower heels! John appeared dressed as the "old woman" and one of his children, I think it may have been Laura, who would have been about five at the time, took one look at him and began to scream and cry loudly as she hadn't a clue who he was. 2002 : Brian and Roger were awarded at 2002 Capital FM Award for Outstanding Contribution To Music at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, UK. Also Capital FM radio officially launched a Help A London Child 2002 with the awards. The radio station's annual event raises cash for this charity appeal.

1988 : Roger appeared on BBC's 'Breakfast Time' to promote the release of The Cross 3rd single Heaven For Everyone that day. Unlike on the LP version, the single was sung by Roger. In 1995 Queen re-recorded this song for Made In Heaven album keeping Freddie's vocals. [24 years]

1967 : Brian's 1984 had a chance to record in Thames Televisions Broom Road Studios in Teddington for the first time. They recorded several covers including two versions of Step On Me. [45 years]
1974 : Queen live on Queen II Tour at Rainbow Theatre, London, UK. The band had a huge row on the afternoon of the gig and Brian called Freddie "an old tart" and Freddie stormed off! No one could find him, so everyone went on stage and started shouting "Freddie poos, where are you?". He eventually gave in and came back! John experimented with the sound at the venue by putting one mixer up in the "gods" (the highest seats up in the balcony) and having the other down below. A graphic equalizer was put on the outputs of the mixing desk to compensate for hall acoustics. Roger, for some strange reason, decided to pour beer onto his drums to achieve a spray effect when he hit them. Queen played to 3500 people. The concert was filmed by Trident to use for publicity purposes. Clips were shown on BBC Pop Quiz and a couple of songs filtered through to American rock programmes. Later an edited version was released as a part of Box Of Tricks. [38 years]
